Last of Us

I’ve been a pretty die hard fan of Naughty Dog since the Uncharted 1 days.  Being a first party publisher for Sony, ND basically produces the exclusive content that would make you want / have to buy a Playstation, justifying the purchase.  So naturally, you would expect that exclusive content to be the showpiece for what the playstation stands for as a hearth space storytelling machine.

Storycode San Francisco

In December I got invited to speak at the first inaugural Storycode event in my hometown of SF.  Its fitting that I got an opportunity to put together a cathartic post mortem presentation in my hometown.  I got a bit tipsy, and was really able to relax and open up to the audience.  The result is an hour of me telling all about the trials, tribulations, and hard lessons learned from the 4.5 years I spent birthing Ajax into the world.

Big (D)esign

So, I’m a bit late posting this up.  But I had a really nice time touring through Texas and Bristol this past year at Big (D) in Addison Texas  and Watershed / React in Bristol UK.  The two trips pretty much blended into a single experience, and the talk I gave was essentially identical, so treating the post as a single experience makes sense.

Hands on with the Leap Motion

Ok, I know I’m a little late to the party with this one.  I’ve had my leap for a few months now, and nothing I have to say about it at the moment will be all that different from the many reviews that have already gone out when it first hit the hands of consumers.
In short, its very cool, very buggy, and isn’t quite ready for primetime.  While that doesn’t mean you should avoid getting one now to play with (only 80 bucks afterall), it certainly didn’t amount to the OMG you have to see this thing right now, it will change the way we use the computarz! experience I think we were all expecting from the videos like this one:
