Selected experience
From government agencies to creative studios and classrooms, I’ve brought people together to explore new perspectives, tackle complex challenges, and create what’s next.
Leadership offsites and organizational alignment.
Working through Booz Allen Hamilton, I helped design and facilitate an offsite for approximately 50 BARDA team members to introduce a new organizational brand I had developed. I shaped the day’s experience, designed the senior leader’s presentation, and coached him on its delivery. Through breakout discussions and interactive exercises, participants explored their shared identity, values, and future direction. The experience helped the team embrace the new brand by connecting it to their own contributions and the organization’s evolution.

Immersive retreats focused on purpose, reflection, and connection.
I created and led this two-day retreat for groups of 10–18 participants, designing everything from the program and presentations to participant recruitment and logistics. Combining public speaking, somatic practices, breathwork, meditation, movement, and guided reflection, I collaborated with other coaches to create an immersive environment for personal exploration. Each retreat culminated in participants sharing their life stories with the group, supported by individual coaching. Participants left with new perspectives and commitments, with several subsequently making significant changes in their careers, relationships, and lives.

Team Development · Workshop Design · Career Exploration
As part of Booz Allen Hamilton’s Innovation X team, I designed and facilitated an offsite for 12 colleagues focused on professional growth and collaboration. I created a custom growth matrix that helped participants reflect on their career journeys, identify pivotal moments, and explore the intersection of their skills, passions, and aspirations. Participants completed their matrices individually before sharing their insights with the group. The experience built trust, strengthened team cohesion, and helped us form more effective project teams by pairing people with complementary strengths and interests.
Curriculum Design · Experiential Learning · Educational Technology
From approximately 2007–2010, I taught video game art at the Academy of Art University, California College of the Arts, and The Art Institute. Drawing on my experience developing AAA games at Electronic Arts and Activision, I created original, project-based curricula that prepared students for professional roles in the industry. Some students secured jobs after just three or four classes.
I also developed Gamestepper, an online learning platform that encouraged students to share work, provide peer feedback, and build community beyond the classroom.
“Daniel is motivating and open to a lot of ideas. Always good to go to for advice. I improved greatly under his tutelage. He’s not easy; he works you hard but you’ll gain a lot from it.”
